My name is Carmen Balter and I’ve been piercing at Modern Age Tattoos since 2003. I did my formal apprenticeship with Brian Demaio who had been piercing there for several years. He taught me and looked over my shoulder while I was doing my first few piercings. I learned quickly, and have learned more over the years with hands on experience. I’ve built up a large collection of jewelry based on customer’s taste, including basic designed, gold, other metals, and even diamonds. I can also do special ordering when the client needs something different. I really enjoy being at Modern age and working along with my husband and owner, Robert.
